Prayer for friends

Lord, I pray for my friends. You know their hearts far better than I do. You know their problems deeper than I could ever comprehend. Lord, you see their scars while I see their smiles. Teach me to love my friends with kindness, humility, fidelity, and loyalty. Help me to extend that example of your unfailing love. That a friend loves at all times.

Lord, I know what I ask of today may be difficult for me as I am working on my own life, my own growth, and my own transgression. Lord, Help me to understand the minds of those I love, no matter how complex it may seem. We are forever evolving, forgive us for our shortcomings as not only friends, but as humans.

Lord, teach us how to discern when to be selfless with our time and when to be selfish and draw boundaries. Lord, I don’t have it all together and you know it, but in the process of rebuilding myself, I ask that you may rebuild those who surround me as well.

Teach me to be a positive light so that they may see your light shine through me. Lord I ask this in your name, Amen.
